Special Visitors at 320 Princess!!
The Grey Cup may be over (congratulations Riders fans 😑), but we are still thrilled that we got to spend time with Skyler Griffith, fullback for the Edmonton Elks of the CFL, as well as Rodd Sawatzky who is with Athletes in Action Canada and is currently the chaplain for the Calgary Flames of the NHL and the Calgary Stampeders, and Rod, their lovely driver from Athletes in Action Canada as well.
What a blessing to meet these gentlemen and hear what God is doing in their lives in professional sports. Skyler shared his story with the men in our addiction recovery program, and we know that they appreciated his honest sharing of what God has done in his life, bringing him to this point. Rodd also shared encouragement in our chapel service with our street guests. Thank you Lord for these men and for Athletes in Action, and may their encouragement and testimony spur our men on as they recover and as they learn to be disciples of Jesus.
