Songs of Hope: Carolling in the North End!

Yesterday was our Songs of Hope event in the core of Winnipeg! We carolled, we handed out hot chocolate and apple cider, blankets, jackets, mitts, and bags with snacks, tracts, and other Christian materials in them.

We managed despite the cold, and were very thankful for winter clothing, and for Millar College of the Bible, who provided a rest stop for us halfway through. Although it is not easy to see people struggling, it was good to bring some light and some hope to these precious people in our community.

One of the best parts was watching two gentlemen in our addiction recovery program share with someone on the streets of the hope he could have in Jesus through the UGM program.

They urged and implored this man to seek help, that it was available, and that freedom couldn’t be had without Jesus. It was incredible to see our residents, who understand what this man was dealing with, spend time with and share so beautifully with someone in a difficult situation. They showed great love and compassion, and we are so thankful for what God is doing in our men and in our programs. All glory to Him.
