Praise & Prayer

  • Pray for safety for the men who serve in the ‘Bubble” (front office of 320 Princess).  Doors are open 24/7 to serve our street guests.  Pray for discernment, courage, compassion, wisdom and protection.  We sadly have seen an increase in violence and increase in drug use this summer.

  • Pray for drug addicted Gideon, who has been an abuser of his own body for over 50 years. 2 Peter 3:9 NKJV says, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance”.

  • Praise the Lord that Marco has returned to the addiction recovery program.  Pray that the good work the Lord has begun in him and our other residents become fulfilled.

  • Pray for homeless ladies, Megan, Danielle and Melissa.  They are so precious in Gods sight and we so desire to see them understand just how much the Lord loves them and how, in Him, they can be free to serve Him.  The beauty in these women is just waiting to come out for all the world to see!

  • Praise God for volunteers like Malachi, who since March 0f 2020 has been fearless and faithful in his outstanding service to the Lords work at our Mission.  He is a young man with a big heart.  We appreciate him!

WE CAN’T KEEP FROM TALKING ABOUT THE LORD!

We are still glowing in the aftermath of our Radio-thon earlier this month and the incredible provision of the Lord.  We had no target for funds, so what ever we were blessed to handle responsibly, was exactly what the Lord had set His mind on.  CHVN 95.1 listeners were so generous and kind, that was a very humbling experience for all of us on the end of the phone lines to witness. The funds received are a great encouragement to the work at UGM and the seven ministries the Lord has entrusted to us.  We do not take the responsibility lightly.  Praise God.

WE CAN’T KEEP FROM REJOICING IN OVER 100 FIRST TIME DONORS!

WE CAN’T KEEP FROM REJOICING AT THE NUMBERS OF LOYAL DONORS WHO SUPPORT THE MISSION!

WE CAN’T KEEP FROM TELLING YOU WHAT WAS HAPPENING BEHIND THE SCENES!

Testimonies were shared.  Recovering addicts, street people and others, who once felt they had no value, were hearing themselves broadcast.  Tears were shed as one after another realized how the Lord was using their transforming journeys, to celebrate His love, forgiveness, sacrifice and compassion.  Radio hosts were inspired as they picked up key threads and witness to God's grace in the audio clips shared. One of our ladies was distraught at the thought her testimony and witness of the Gospel to a dying friend was inadequate, but felt the Holy Spirit affirm her words through the on air endorsement of a Radio host, who marvelled at how this lady had captured the very essence of the Gospel in so few words.  One of our men in recovery was overcome with emotion that he was able to give back and God used his story in a powerful and dynamic way.  So far removed from gang life, prison and drug pushing, this young man now has Church family, freedom and a desire to ‘push’ the Good News of Jesus!

WE CAN’T KEEP FROM PRAYING FOR YOU ALL!

What a privilege to pray with all those willing to share when they called in. It was a real blessing and privilege.

WE CAN’T KEEP FROM BEING THANKFUL.  THANK YOU ONE AND ALL!
