When new children arrive at the Kid’s Club, the Bible lessons change course. It’s like hitting a “reset” button. That’s because it’s necessary to fill the new kids in as to who God is, our broken relationship with God, and then God’s amazing plan of rescuing us through Jesus Christ.
The kids who have been around awhile will hear messages they have heard before. But that’s good! Repetition means re-enforcement, and hopefully retention of the knowledge. So yes, sometimes when we are about to go deeper into God’s Word, going back to the basics is the logical way to proceed. And rest assured, no matter where we are in our studies, the Gospel message is proclaimed!
