Praise & Prayer

  • Pray that many men and women would register with our Adult Education Centre to obtain their grade 12 education in a Christ centered environment.

  • Praise the Lord for our recent free give away and BBQ at the Family Life Centre.  We blessed the community with a variety of household items and gave away over 50 Bibles.

  • Pray that, in the last month of camp, children would open up their hearts and minds to a relationship with Jesus and commit their lives to follow Him.

  • Praise the Lord that at the Charis Centre we were able to have our first ever resident led praise and worship service, consisting of Bible reading, a skit and singing.  Jesus's name was lifted up and all the women in the recovery program were involved in the service.

Here is a story of two girls who are about the same age coming to the Family Life Centre.  In the morning, a young girl I was looking after told me she believes in Jesus.  I wasn't sure she was getting proper Christian direction, because she had question after question about God, heaven, hell, Jesus and the devil.  At one point, she asked me to

tell her the story of Noah. I was very happy to do so, but it took longer than it should have because she kept interrupting with really good questions.

In the afternoon, during our Bible time at Kid’s Club, a little girl questioned out loud whether she actually believes in God or not. This little girl has been told the gospel many times. But like so many people, her unbelief is overwhelming her.

The two girls are obviously at different spiritual stages and yet we know that this can flip-flop.  The believer becoming doubtful and the one full of doubt becoming a true believer.  Because only God knows the future, it is up to us to pray for both girls.  Father God, please take measures to insure the believer stays believing until the day she is brought home. And Father, please draw the unbeliever into a faith in Jesus that is real.  Amen.
