Union Gospel Mission Winnipeg is a non-profit evangelical, non-denominational Gospel Rescue Mission. Our purpose is to provide Christ-centered programs for the addicted and the poor men, women and children of Manitoba. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Charis support team and UGM as a whole. We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the Mission and would like to utilize their skills and experience for God’s purposes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain security and safety in the building.
- Ensure that residents in the recovery programs are adhering to program expectations
- Compiling and filing documentation.
- Administer drug and alcohol tests to residents.
- Room checks and bag searches.
- Willing to facilitate devotions and prayer with the residents.
NOTE: Since we work with women and children, the desired candidate should be a woman.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Agree with our statement of faith and meet qualifications for employment.
- Have a desire to share your faith and prayer life with staff, volunteers and guests.
- A knowledge of the field of addiction.
- Work well in a team.
- Organized and efficient.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; superior interpersonal skills.
- Sound discernment and wisdom in decision-making; strong conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and establish trust.
