He That Hath Pity

A Mr.J .Woodin received The Bristol Chant, Anthem and Service Book from ” Members of Union Church Choir, July 24 th 1900″.

Like me do you wonder who C. Stegall was who penned the words…and who J .Woodin was that may have sung them? The poignancy of ” He that hath pity”, never gets old.

The Hymn goes like this, “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord: and look, and look, what he layeth out, and look what he layeth out, it shall be paid him again.”
