Easter Meal 2025 Recap!

We had 43 volunteers serve around 150 guests on Saturday, April 19th. They assisted in various areas, including connecting with guests and taking prayer requests, praying for guests, serving food, and other important tasks. One volunteer, together with our Development Manager, helped a lady by providing her with new pants, as hers were soiled.
There were eight people who accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior on Saturday! Praise God! In talking with a few of them later on, a theme that came out was that they were desperate to know the peace and hope found in Christ. They go through so much hardship out on the street and there are so many dysfunctional relationships they are trying to navigate. They just wanted to know what it means to have real peace and have Jesus walking with them through it all instead of feeling so alone.
We had a volunteer who was thrilled to see that we needed someone to help with the dishes. She later shared that earlier that day, while praying, the word “dishwasher” had come to her mind, but she didn’t understand its significance until she noticed we needed someone for that role as part of the Easter meal.
We found this encouraging, especially since there was a lack of interest in that role at previous meals. This was a reminder that God knows what we need and He is the one who provides for us in every way.
To all who volunteered, and to all who prayed for this event, THANK YOU! May God continue to work and build His Kingdom here as we preach Christ crucified and resurrected for our salvation!
