A resident moving into phase 3 of the men's program shared a few words.

I have been here at Union Gospel Mission almost a year and I can feel it.  I used to think a lot different when I was out on the street then I do now, I don’t feel the same at all.

I appreciate everything now, I’m glad I’m here. I know that have changed.  I can now walk outside and I do not feel tempted.  I can say NO to those that try and bring me back the old ways and tell me I should drink.  I can walk away.  I thank my chaplain for meeting with me on that day one year ago.  That saved my life!
