Praise & Prayer

  • Pray for five men who left their respective recoveries prematurely.  The lure of spring and/or the clarion call of ‘friends’ was found too difficult to ignore, yet all five have wonderful potential.  The Lord knows their names, but we will use first 5 letters of the alphabet:

    “A” is older and has deep health issues.  Physical life is tough.   “B” is young, recently baptized and on fire for the Lord.  We miss him and hope he stays on track and is safe.   “C” is a super nice guy and his early departure is bewildering.   “D” has wrestled for years and was in such a great place spiritually.  Working physically hard he reached for strength and energy to the wrong source.   “E” has been through so much. (In fact, all five have deep traumas in life.)  This man was scheduled to serve the Lord in a place of refuge.  Please fervently pray that these men find the strength to be humble and desire to walk with the Lord, above all else!  We love each one.

  • Pray for our upcoming Radio-thon hosted by CHVN 95.1 F.M.  There will be two 12 hour slots from 6am to 6pm, on June 16th & 17th.  We will be focussing on celebrating God and the work He is doing at UGM.  We simply want to use the time to bring glory to His Name.  Please pray that we are successful in honouring the Lord.

  • Praise God for continued protection from the virus among our homeless and street people. They have enough to deal with, without stressing over the pandemic.

     

  • Pray for sustained courage and endurance for the men and women in addiction recovery.  Traumatic and tragic as their past has been, the enemy tries hard to lure them back.

     

  • Praise God for opportunities to share with the world that we at UGM do not only survive, but also thrive as God takes care of us.  Recently a grant organization asked us how we fund all our ministries out of four locations.  We could boast in the Lord, that He provides for all our needs, mostly through our wonderful Church family in and around Manitoba.  Thank you Lord!
