Union Gospel Mission often has opportunities for employment at our 4 various locations.
We call our employees Missionaries, because those who work here have a passion for serving Christ. The rewards are beyond description, and God is faithful in providing for the needs of the Mission and its missionaries!

General Qualifications
Each position will have specific qualifications. The general qualifications listed apply to every position.
1. You need to know Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour
2. You must be an active participant in good standing at a Protestant Evangelical Church.
3. You need to have a passion to help others know Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour
4. You should know how to lead someone to Jesus Christ
5. We are looking for those who are team players
6. You must lead a life-style that is sexually in line with God’s Word
7. You cannot be a smoker or a user of alcohol and illegal drugs
8. Must sign statement of faith
9. Must be legally allowed to be employed in Canada

Charis Centre Chaplain (P/T, 1 Year Term)
Union Gospel Mission Winnipeg is a non-profit evangelical, non-denominational Gospel Rescue Mission. Our purpose is to provide Christ-centered programs for the addicted and the poor men, women and children of Manitoba. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Chaplaincy team at our women’s addiction recovery program (the Charis Centre). We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is “smitten by the Mission” and would like to utilize their skills and experience for God’s purposes.
Some of the duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
-Facilitate Biblically based classes for the recovery program
-Invite residents to consider Jesus’ offer of salvation and individual weekly discipleship
-Prepare and deliver sermons at weekly chapel, in rotation with other chaplains

Charis Centre Program Manager (P/T, 6+ Month Term Position)
We have an exciting part-time opportunity for 6 months (which may be extendable) for someone who has a passion for sharing the love of the Lord Jesus Christ with women who are struggling with addiction. This position involves developing and ensuring that we provide an effective, relevant Christ centered addiction recovery program to the women that we serve.
Some of the duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
– Recruit, Train and Manage program related staff
– Ensure we are providing Christ centered programming
