Digging Deeper

Lewis (not his real name) is a former UGM resident of ours who has made his way back into the program. He had been spending his time working on his brother’s farm but had relapsed twice. He knew the behavior came out of something more than a simple desire for drugs. Making money had become a distraction to Lewis and he felt the need to change his environment. He knew that UGM would be a place where he could focus on God and his recovery.

Since being back, Lewis has spent time in devotions every morning and evening. He has developed a consistent prayer life and is frequently found having conversations with staff and residents about what God has been teaching him. He is grateful for the support he has received from his immediate family as well as his local church.

Please pray for Lewis to hear and obey the Holy Spirit’s leading in his life. Pray for him to continue on his journey and to have the strength to press on when trials come his way.
