Praise & Prayer

  • Pray for those who will attend the Easter Street Meal.  Pray that their hearts will be open to the saving grace of Jesus.

  • Praise the Lord for the ongoing support of Union Gospel Mission.  Your support is allowing us to reach more and more people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as giving them a helping hand.

  • Pray for our students who are graduating through both our Christian Education and our Adult Education Programs.  The Lord is doing amazing things!

  • Praise the Lord that more individuals are seeking help from our men’s and women’s addiction programs.

Street Ministry

Joe is one of our regular guests at UGM from the street.  Some of our staff remember Joe before he was obsessed with all sorts of conspiracy theories that seldom make any sense.  He uses our payphone to tell the operator his frustrations.  Joe has said some things that caused us to pray for him in a deeper way.

One evening he had a moment of clarity and we had a meaningful conversation.  He told me, “Even though there was a lot of bad things in my life, I can see how God’s used it for good.”  He spoke with a true affection toward Jesus as we talked about the hope we have in Him.  Since then I’ve heard him say, “UGM’s the greatest place on earth.”  This is so encouraging!  We know that this is not because of us, but God’s work in his life.  We are very privileged to be a part of God’s work in Joe’s life.

Please continue to pray for people like Joe.  We are dealing with broken people.  Hearing how they have found hope through the Gospel makes everything we do worth it!
