Psalm 20:7 says, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.”
It has been a privilege to be a part of God’s work at UGM. What a blessing to see lives saved from the pit. Not only does God restore people, He blesses them beyond what they hoped for. I’m especially happy to see one of our residents who used to be a crystal meth addict now living for God.
This man came here out of detox to get free from his addiction. Shortly into the program he gave his heart to Christ! He says, “I’ve been at the bottom. I didn’t know God before. Since surrendering my life to Him it has been a big change. I know God is always beside me, especially in my addiction. Whenever I think of drugs, I just pray and the thought is gone. My wife and daughter are especially happy with the change in my life. My wife and I feel like a new couple. My daughter thinks I should be a preacher. The change in my life comes from God.”
We praise God for stories like this, but not all of our residents in our addiction program have this fervor. Please continue to pray for them as true freedom is only possible through Christ. Thank you for your prayers!
