God has blessed UGM with a beautiful facility for women recovering from addiction to stay and we have a desire to maximize God’s gift to its full capacity. Our prayer at the Charis Centre has been for God to lead women who are struggling with addiction to our doors. Here we can provide a safe place where each lady is surrounded by God’s love and covered in prayer as they begin their journey.
God has heard our prayer and has been sending women our way. This month, Charis Centre has reached the highest number of individuals that we have ever had registered in our program at once. In November, we reached a total of 24 women registered in the program, plus 4 children. Applications continue to come in.
Due to the growing number of residents, and to ensure that we keep up with the needs of the ladies that enter our program, Charis has hired a new case manager. Virginia Spence began her new position Nov 14th.
We have been truly blessed! Please continue to pray for Charis as we continue to grow and seek God’s will for our Recovery Program.
