All of our Adopt-A-Student Sponsors should have received a picture of their student and a personal prayer request in the mail. As I read over the student prayer requests, I can’t help but think of the turmoil that is going on in some of the homes of our sponsored students.
We have one family that has had their home burn down recently and are living with other family members while they try to maintain a sense of normalcy. We have students asking for focus with their academic studies, due to chaos in the home. Some students are asking our Lord to make sure the rent is paid and the money not spent on addictions. We have students asking for prayer for the multitude of health concerns with mom, dad, brothers and sisters.
In the 14th chapter of the Book of John, Jesus tells us “Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me.” The message I take during home visits, is that our Lord is sovereign over all of our life troubles. Regardless of what the world throws at us, He promises never to leave or forsake us.
Please join with us for the many prayer requests from our students and to God be all the Glory!!
