The North End
This morning I walked to work, which means through the North End. I was soon reminded of two summers ago, when I walked nearly every day. There was the fellow with his grocery cart of empty tin cans. There were the people on a bench asking me for a cigarette. There was the man outside the bar asking me for money. There was another man with one leg who was in a wheelchair, and he was trying to get into a restaurant for breakfast (yes, I helped him). And there was the display asking for justice for Simone. This display really touched my heart, so I grabbed my phone and snapped a picture. So on the surface, not a lot has changed in two years. But we know personally many lives that have been changed because UGM has been faithfully loving the poor and preaching the Gospel. The cry for justice can only be answered by our Lord Jesus Christ.
