Praise & Prayer

  • Pray for those that made a decision to follow Christ as Lord and Saviour, may they seek His guidance in their lives.

  • Praise the Lord for the overwhelming response to those who attended our Annual Community Street New Years Day Meal.  Guest attended a chapel service, submitted prayer requests and had an invitation to receive Christ as their Lord and Saviour.  They also received a Christmas Gift and a hot Turkey Dinner.

  • Pray for our clients as they continue to struggle with addiction to drugs and alcohol.  The winter months can be particularly hard.

  • Praise the Lord for God's overwhelming provision in 2019.  Our supporters have blessed us immensely.

Children & Youth

FLC-Kids-Clubs

Encouragement is something that is always welcomed and appreciated.  Not long ago, I received encouragement from an unlikely source.  During Kid’s Club we always stop for a Bible lesson.  Not surprisingly, there are a few kids who are disruptive.  The other day, one of the more disruptive of these kids told me she often thinks of things that were said during our Bible time when she is trying to fall asleep at night. Another child affirmed that she has the same experience.  This encourages me!

Thinking of the things of God in the quiet of one’s own thoughts is an important step towards a meaningful relationship with the Lord.  The Holy Spirit uses times like this to affirm truth, so that an individual can absorb and accept what is correct.  A child’s heart is fertile soil!  So it both encourages me that little ones are contemplating Bible truths, and it motivates me to pray all the more that these truths will effect real change in the lives of the children who attend the Kid’s Club drop-in.
