I am very thankful and excited that God has provided me the opportunity to serve as the next Executive Director of Union Gospel Mission.
I was blessed to have grown up in a strong Christian family that attended Rowandale Baptist Church, which I still attend with my wife and two teenage sons, Joel and Shane. My faith in God has always been the central part of my life growing up, and still is now as I lead my own family. Having been so blessed in my own childhood, I have always had a strong desire to help the less fortunate and to share my faith with others. Many people in our communities have grown up with no father figure or if a Dad was around, the relationship with their children was not healthy and not conducive to a good upbringing and a sound foundation, upon which to build. I want to be part of an organization that helps those who have not had the same opportunity as I have had, with Christ as a starting point in all of our Ministries and everything that we do.
I graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) Degree, majoring in Marketing and Business Administration. I have worked in Sales, Customer Service and Human Resources.
James 1:27:”Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
